Cannot believe that AT can be hotter than CH this year. If only some of the boys trying for AT would go CH, then maybe my dd got chance. Oh well. I am quite firm that KCPPS will be where we will register next week

Actually, CH added one more class this year, otherwise it would be hotter than AT. There will be some drop outs/withdrawals from Phase 1 and 2A1/2 which will be subsequently added back to 2B and 2C pool.

Also not forgetting, AT take both DS and DD where CH takes only DS.

If not for CH added 1 class / 30 students added, this year next 2 phases will have 10/11 places each for balloting.

Furma, you should monitor how many register at P2B to gauge your chance, esp if you are within 1km. I'm always advocate of registering at a sch nearest to home.

Thanks for advice. I am still following through with my plan, ie. if get shhk letter, will still go AT to check for the number of applicants within 1km and then decide whether to take the risk. Praying for a miracle

Currently, both PV and clan members are both under Phase 2B. The priority will be given to within 1km for each phase.

for P2B - schools with (Hokkien clan, church Methodist clan, Catholic clan, RC leaders, PVs) all thrown into the same common pool - all equal chance. Hence, there is no such thing as PVs more priority over any clan. All equal chance, based on distance.


based on this yr Rulang experience, hot popular Tier 1 schools ballot, < 1 km. those stay within 1 to 2 km very risky, may not even get the chance to ballot.

those stay > 2km most risky.

but if you talk about Tier 2 popular schools, maybe still got chance, for those 1 to 2 km, or > 2km.

Not only SHHK's schools take HCL fr P1. Even neighbourhood schools offer HCL to P1 students whose chinese are stronger. At lower pri, the difference between the HCL and CL syllabus is not much, really.
