Hello, just came back from registration in Tao Nan, latest update for anybody who is interested :
As of 9.40am,
No of vacancies for phase 2B = 47
Within 1km = 34 (including myself
)
1 - 2 km = 1
Outside 2km = 0 -
did the school say when balloting take place ? what time, if required ?

I just came back from registration at TNS. <1km applicants numbers >50 at the moment. Balloting is on 22 Jul, 2pm.

Oh dear…it is going to be so tough…I remembered I was there during the PV balloting for Tao Nan last year, I did not get it and we cried for that! Today, after one year, I guess it was really God’s plan for us because even if we got to do PV, and pay for a house < 1km, we still need to ballot…
I truly feel for the parents there…hang on there, I wish each and everyone of you best of luck… -

out of curiousity, which primary school did u apply this year then? -
Day 1 of Phase 2B :
Phase 2B (after day 1):
within 1 km = 64
between 1 - 2km = 2
outside 2km = 4
Total applicants = 70
Balloting time and date: 22 July (Friday) 2pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre
I don’t quite understand why there are so many applications for Phase 2B (day 1 only), where there are only 47 vacancies left. The school know the definite number of PVs.
Likely these are from clan members and GRLs. As we all know, numbers of GRLs can’t be estimated, as they are free to choose which school within the zoning to enrol. That can only mean that more clan associated letters are issued than there are vacancies.
Just hope that the PVs get into the school after putting in 50 hours of sweat and time !

Do you think it is more advisable to switch to Ngee Ann if we failed TaoNan phase 2b? Or it’s better to hang on to TaoNan 2c?

Depends on your backup plan. If you do no get the ballot for TN Phase 2C, don't thinkl Ngee Ann is available for you at Phase 2C SuppDo you think it is more advisable to switch to Ngee Ann if we failed TaoNan phase 2b? Or it's better to hang on to TaoNan 2c?
