we bought the bigger table and chair about 4-5 years ago from the shop at centrepoint (cant remember the shop name offhand) when dd was in lower primary.
length wise it can sit 2 persons (1 child 1 adult) comfortably but depth wise, dd and i find it a bit short and i think this table is suitable for primary school kids only.
now that dd is in secondary, we got her a normal table with lots of space for her to put her books (open for research when studying), files and doing her art work.
ds in primary is using dd’s table and chair now.
after spending $1000++++ for them, well, maybe the slanted table is the only thing everyone says is good for the kids when writing and reading. i dont know i just dont think it is special.
bagwise for dd, we got the spi bag from the same shop. i find it a bit heavy and after 1-2 years of usage, the threads came off (we got the cloth bag) and then we switched to the smooth hard surface bag but switch to a normal bag when the bag got heavier with more books etc.
but for ds who just started primary school, we didnt get him any of these bags. -
Out of curiosity, I went o the Kinder Fun shop at United Square. Checked out the tables/chairs. Impressive stuff. Very appealling to daddies, I must say (i think it's the mechanical stuff).
They give only 1 year warranty for the system though. How reliable are those air-pressure systems, that modulates the tilt/height of the table ? :? -

hi, wat model of chair n table u bought?its easy to maintain?Hi
Both my children have been using cross com bags since primary one. On the whole, the bags are sturdy and lasting. Most importantly, it provides good support for their spines considering the weight of the books they have to carry. It is value for money and in my opinion, a worthwhile investment for a good six years or more.
i had research and sg only hv 3 brands. do u hv any idea of the rest? i prefer Crosscom n my boy as well. but it is reali costly:( amd bot a SPI bag since last year and reali last n good. sigh! headache wonder which furitures r good. -

We got a set from Ergoworks when son was in P5. 2 yrs on we find that it's gd as he has grown much taller these 2 yrs, hence the height adjustability feature of the table is useful. Though he could adjust the chair height, the tilted table, I feel, also helps in relieving neck fatigue. These Ergonomics tables & chairs are costly:(
However, I would like to check with you all parents. Does it help for our lovely darling?
However, I would like to get a set of Table & Chair too.........:P(
We got the TD1222, Junior Ergo Workstation with a Duorest ergo chair ( the chair is an upgrade fm their promo set) for abt $1500. -

I really don’t think ergonomic tables and chairs will help much. It’s just one of those things that are nice to have.
We have been brought up in the age where there were no ergonomic tables and chairs. Did we suffer any deformity because of that ?
To have an adverse impact on the body, one must sit for very long hours at the table. Bear in mind the users of these tables and chairs. These are kids. They run around, they go for toilet breaks, they go grab a cuppa, they’re active. They can’t sit still for hours on end. Even when they’re sitting down, they fidget. Just get a table and chair that is height adjustable, and that would be good enough. Plenty of that in Ikea.
If the kid has bad eyesight, it’s because they read for much too long and under non optimal lighting conditions, not because they’re not sitting at an ergonomic table that’s slanted at a certain angle. Our asian genetic makeup also contributes to the bad eyesight.
We put too much faith in marketing literature these days. -
Can this slanted desk be found in Singapore?
