I will be registering under P2C for Shuqun Pri (within 1-2km, in fact where we live is very near to the 1km radius from Shuqun). Looking at the vacancy, which is 91 places left, will there be any slightest chance of getting a place? Confirm the school will go into balloting for those within 1km but I just want to assure myself that the risk i'm taking is a sane risk.

If not my Plan B will be sending him to Lakeside Pri ( within 1km ).

As of last year record, Shuqun has balloting available in Phase 2C for those staying less than 1km only..so perhaps you like to monitor situation before you go for the registration this year?

If i remembered correctly, last year had about 10 kids more than the available places in P2C. If the ratio is similar this year and if you are a citizen (2 ballots slips), you stand a very high chance.

Rulang's rope skipping team is also very good. Forgot to mention it last time when I mentioned that Rulang's niche is robotics. I think they just sent a team to Korea this week's Wed for a rope skipping competition. They also attend friendlies in Australia each year, sending the P2s, I think. Correct, RRMummy?

Yes, their rope skipping team is also very strong, very impressive. We actually saw them skipping on their bums!! Super impressive! :imcool:

Although the balloting for past few years have been for 1 - 2km, balloting last year was for those staying <1km so if you (afiqa) stay 1 - 2km (even if just past the border) you will not have a chance to ballot.

IMHO, the fight this year is likely to be within 1km too as Shuqun is getting more sought after and i also suspect a spillover effect due to reduction of places..

I agree with Champion. Although the balloting for past few years have been for 1 - 2km, balloting last year was for those staying <1km so if you (afiqa) stay 1 - 2km (even if just past the border) you will not have a chance to ballot.

Which means that afiqa who stays 1 - 2km doesn't actually stand a very high chance.. unfortunately. :sad:

I’m currently staying within < 1km of West Grove. Do I have to register on the first day of Phase 2c or wait on the last day to see what is the percentage of securing the place for my son since there will be definitely a balloting for applicants less than < 1 km based on the previous year?

If you have more or less decided on West Grove, no point waiting, right? Whether you register on the first or last day doesn't make any difference. Might as well get it over and done with, and wait for 05 Aug for the balloting.

On the other hand, if you are considering West Grove and another school, may be good to wait till the last day.
