How was the balloting for phase 2B?

Hi Starlight1968sg, I was at the school last Friday picking my DS up, the whiteboard stated 25 names were in ballot ( within 1km ) but 19 was selected. My heart goes out to those parents who had done PV duties but did not managed to get in.

If the GRL is staying within 1km from Rulang then he/she will have the same chance as the PVs (within 1km) to ballot, that's assuming the trend for next year is the same as this year.

Oh, and you have to be serving Jurong GRC, I think.

Once you are in Phase 2B, only distance matters when a balloting situation arises.

It was a definite yes for year 2008 and before. In 2009 and 2010, balloting was for those staying >2km so some still made it through.

Unfortunately, this year balloting only for <1km... :sad:

I learnt yesterday that HOD for English had left the school, and my DS had a change of teachers last week. Heard that some good teachers may be leaving too… Am worried as its term 3 already… wondering if you hear anything from your children? DS is in Pr 3.

Is it normal for teacher transfers to happen in the middle of the year?
