Seem to have read about in this forum that last year some of the rejected cases later receive acceptance again after school re-open . Is that true?

Just an update, it seems that this \"rejection email\" thing could be a rumour. :? I wrote to NUSHS yesterday and this was what they replied to me via email:

\"We are still in the midst of processing the results and reviewing the supporting documents. We assure you that we have NOT released any results yet to date.\" - NUSHS

Wierd how my son's teacher said that she had heard of some students receiving the rejection letters. Maybe some miscommunication, but I believe she mentioned it in good faith just as I wanted to share with all parents the info I heard in good faith.

Anyway, we will get NUS's official reply - either thru email or the \"My Status\" account (which is just as official) by 21 Aug 09. Afterall, the NUSHS website stated that \"Outcome of the application will be sent via your registered email. You may also check online at My Status page.\" I doubt that NUSHS will make another mistake this time at the My Status page as they had done with the Camp dates earlier.

For info, to keep everyone updated.

But how to go to \"My Status\"??? TIA

              Go to:

              NUSHS Website
              http://www.highsch.nus.edu.sg

Click on \"ADMISSIONS\" and then \"ONLINE APPLICATION\". Out will pop another \"ADMISSIONS\" button and the message, \"Outcome of the application will be sent via your registered email. You may also check online at My Status page.\"

              Click that new \"ADMISSIONS\" button.

This will bring you to a new window. You will notice this is the SAME way as how we applied online to NUSHS in the first place. **

Then type in your UserID and Password. You will then be brought into the \"My Status\" page where it lists for you your whole application process and when you did what, eg when you paid, when you sat for the test, whether successful for Camp, etc.

** To cut the whole process short, alternatively you can just click on this URL below and go straight to typing in your UserID and Password:

              Hope the above helps!

Think most people will choose RI/RGS.

between NUSH & RI - NUSH

My son was offered NUSH, HCI and RI. He chose the last sch for the following reasons:

                        1) NUSH - too focus on Maths/Science, no emphasis on sports/CCA, want to be exposed to other subjects in depth
                        2) HCI - chinese not his cup of tea, too focus on chinese languages activities, no contact with other races
                        3) RI - school spirit strong and multi racial community, good selection of sports/CCA, strong alumni

Most of his school and classmates chose HCI and only a small fraction go RI and NUSH.
