had registered...

Just wonder what is the total number balloting for these 28 spots! :imdrowning:

We will know daily on MOE website and also after Friday the confirmed total numbers.

I would say more than 1km parents need not apply. 😢

I would say more than 1km parents need not apply. 😢
I believe school will notify those o/s 1km immediately or next day, when the registration exceed vacancies. That was our experience for dd1 when we applied to Fairfield Methodist and were informed next day to withdraw application (o/s 1km and registration exceeded vacancies) to try a nearer school (which happened to be HPPS)

Though we only applied on last day of P2C, registration was still accepted since we were within 1km (and yes, we were successful in balloting 6yos ago)

I can only remember the stress and anxiety for first-time registering parents esp for P2C. I had plan B, C... all the way to Z;p, if we had not been successful anywhere. Its an emotional time and I did not want to caught unprepared when feeling vulnerable.

                Hi Mummyo,

Until the result is out, you still stand a chance at 2B. So, don't feel discouraged. I admire your persistence in clocking so many hours and will still do so for your 2nd child if need be. I do hope you'll be rewarded for your hard work.

Do share the outcome if it's ok with you. Take care.
We got in! SO HAPPPPYYYYY! :rahrah: :celebrate:
Happy that your hard work paid off... its just the beginning. Hope you and your child remain for the years to come!

My first two children had been blessed with good teachers most of the years. Not stellar results but good learning opportunities.

                  Hi Orange belt,

So your kids have graduated from HPPS? Where are they now? Do you know where most HPPS children go after P6? tks

Also, one more question, does anyone know if HPPS allow pupils to bring trolley school bags?

                      Hi GPTeacher,

Not sure if you directed the above to me- sssdarlings. I think the Orange belt is my level or something... and I did not write the encouraging reply above either...i guess i got the quote stuff muddled up.

anyway, regarding to secondary schools after HPPS- only if you are in the top classes (non- GEP), you can be quite sure of good secondary schools (by that i mean with only express streams)

Many of neighbours children graduated from HPPS. And out of about 8 or so I know, only one went to Crescent and another recently to NUS High and the rest were nearby secondary schools (Queenstown sec, St Theresa, Fairfield Methodist, Clementi Town, Kent Ridge etc)

I know many go to NJC as well... and from what I have found, these students were all from the top tier classes.

                        Thanks Orangebelt,
Can I ask if the students and parents know if they are in the top classes (non GEP ones)? Are the children already grouped into different abilities? I remember reading somewhere on the website that HPPS was planning to group the children into classes where pupils are strong in all subjects (the better classes) versus pupils who are strong in some subjects. However, I can't remember if this type of 'streaming' begins at P1 or much later at P3? Also, if at P1, are our children assessed at orientation or during the 1st few weeks in school?

If anyone has experienced with the new groupings done at HPPS, kindly share. Thanks 🙂
