Any ideas whether schools will convert Waitlisted candidates to Confirmed as and when places become available, or do we just have to wait till November to know anything at all? The suspense is so unbearable...
From what I know, there is no conversion as and when. All students will inidcate their choices in order on the given date to exercise their option. The results of allocation will be out together with the PSLE results.
Generally waitlisted students who put that school as the first choice would get in because each of the students with multiple confirmed offers will have to opt for their first choice. -

Oh, I was unaware of this. I assumed all schools had waitlists. May I ask how you know this? Thanks. -

I am new... posted my \"appeal\" on another forum, thought i'll copy it here.
\"What I know is that ACSI and HCI has both indicated to parents to inform them if they are not taking up their confirmed offers. This is so they can release these places to those on waiting list. And those who just miss the waiting list, to go on the waitlist.
Although the MOE process does not require parents to do this or to indicate their decision at this point, it is appealing to the goodwill and kindness of parents n students who are already very sure which offer they want.
So on behalf of parents of children waitlisted or not offered, I appeal to parents to do that. It means alot to some of these pupils. For non-GEP academic applicants the offers are very limited after considering GEP, sports talents, music talents, Maths Olympiads, etc. It is not that they are not good enough, but many seats are taken by the same students.
Thank you, the lucky parents out there!\" -
Hi forum friends… fyi i m still waiting for my DD’s NYGH DSA outcome…Are you all also waiting for yr DDs NYGH DSA outcome as of today 17 August?

I was reading silently on this DSA topic and by now, more or less most of you should be aware of the result. I am thinking, the next phase for more stress and impatient waiting would be APPEAL.
Its again, another stressful interview and unbearable waiting. Jia you to all ! -

Hi daisy, care to share when to appeal and under what situation are the appeal here ( before or after PSLE?) referring to? Mee too, another anxious parent. -

Hi daisyt,
Do you mean the student can appeal even though his/her DSA is 'not successful'? Will the school entertain such appreal? Or are you referring to the supplementary intake after the release of PSLE results? -
I think we shouldn't jump the gun - after all, there is still the PSLE itself, which might be enough to get our kids through to a good school. Let's instead inspire them to work hard, and by God's grace, we may not even have to get to the appeal stage...

Agree with kelly1, do well in PSLE and be enough to get into the school.
Fairy, I mean appeal after posting of school release. A long way to go … in mid December.
