Hi NonKiasuDad,
There was 63 vacancies last year, so 65 applicants. Think 1 drop out along the way. This year, only 41 + 1 (Last min Drop out from 2B). So 45+1 (Outside 2km) applicants. -

Hi Chuan, my hubby Michael asked me to say hi to you too. Thank you for keeping him company through the last 2 hrs there. We'll see you next Fri.I was at RGPS during the very nrevous last 2 hours. Seeing parents going in and hoping that they are the oens that withdraw rather than register.
Nice talking to Michael, Stella if you reads the forum. And also the guy from Shelford.
Btw, SCGS is 43 for 43 within 1km.
Say hi when we see each other at the AVA Room 1 on Friday, 05/08, 230pm.
Best of luck to all.

NYPS is co-ed - one of the reasons why it's so popular. Also there's affiliationt o NYGH for the girls. It seemed like RGPS is getting very competitive partly due to spill over from NYPS. But this does not mean that RGPS is not as good but NYPS is definitely more popular.
2 years ago was the last time where <1km can cruise in easily.

A number of schools are going through balloting in the 1km across. Its expected when you have residential developments coming up all over the place and also a huge influx of foreign PR's. We've only ourselves to blame when we feel the pressure. The government needs to give first priority to Singaporeans and then PR's> The system needs to be fined tuned in favour of Singaporeans

Did PH call you earlier? They called me and told me 57 applicants, but website states 58.
Same goes for NYPS and ACS prim, my friends told me 52 and 29 respectively, but website states 53 and 30. Umm, wonder where does the extra one comes from and why? -
MumandMe:
No, that's wrong. HDB is for owner occupation, not for renting out unless you are out of the country and need HDB's approval. The reason obviously cannot be for applying for primary 1
I don't think there's a rule against someone who owns a HDB, rents a private property and uses the address of the private property. Is there? The rule is against him if he rents out his HDB property. Correct?

I am emphasizing here that all cheaters should be caught! This is how NYPS suddenly have two more seats made available for Phase 2Cians. A good job done indeed which I think MOE or schools have to spend more effort in and if possible, introduce more severe penalty terms that can scare away all these cheaters including PRs.

I don't think the extra 2 seats was due to \"cheaters\", more because alumni found a more suitable school at phase 2C and decided to go for it instead.
