      Hi RRMummy,

When DS was in P1 n P2, no change of teachers at all. But in P3, they gave him a young relief teacher, whom DS says she's ok and when I question her abt Rulang's high math standard at PTM , she's clueless. Then some parent wrote to Ms Fu for a change of teacher. Heard that besides my DS class, other classes also changed teacher. Then HOD English left and he taught the 3rd class, that's why my PRC neighbour came up to complain abt the replacement teacher ( her dd is in his class) and update me abt the school. i text 2 other parents, one is in PSG and told me the same thing... 😞 very worried la....
      Hi silverhorse,

      clueless?? :faint:

hmm... it does sound weird.. and of course it is worrisome if it persists..

Are parents formally informed when there is a change of teacher?

I too have my reservation about a relief teacher.. my DD came back with weird answers and mistakes in her maths. When I ask her, she told me she didn't quite catch the drift but the relief teacher told her that she already explained so have to do the rest herself.. so needless to say pages of corrections to do. 🤷

But granted also my girl didn't try to reread and understand the examples.. :slapshead:

Maybe that's her punishment because she wasn't paying attention? 🤷

Anyway, it is important to keep clear communication with our child. My DS tells me abt his class happenings daily, that's how I found out about a teacher change ( they hired a senior teacher from other school, it seemed) for his class. So long our kids are happy, I'm happy....

Hi parents ( those with children in RL),

I learnt yesterday that HOD for English had left the school, and my DS had a change of teachers last week. Heard that some good teachers may be leaving too... Am worried as its term 3 already... wondering if you hear anything from your children? DS is in Pr 3.
I beg your pardon, HOD EL left the school ???
I am surprised. He is a very good teacher. Who will be replacing him?

                  Hello Starlight1968sg,
Yes, I heard that Bernard Chan was a good teacher. No idea about who's replacing him. I received a letter from school yesterday that RL recruited some new teachers, and hence there are changes to all P3 classes ( MT). My DS had new teacher for Math, Sci and MT. Hopefully they can finish the syllabus in time.

                    Hi Parents,

DS is in Pri 1. His FT informed him yesterday that he is one of those selected to attend the Math Workshop. They will not join their classmates in the hall. May I know what is this Math Workshop for students for? Thanks. 

Hi everyone! Wish to share this latest info about HOD EL’s whereabout. I received clarification from the VP that Mr Bernard Chan is currently on work attachment for a period of time (6months or so) for the purpose of enhancing the school’s future academic programmes upon his return. As for the MT teacher, he has applied for study leave to do his Masters in CL and this request was submitted last year & approval was then given by MOE in Mar. Affirmation was given by VP that no other teacher are leaving the school as rumoured. As a matter of fact, there is no changes affecting all the remaining classes except the ones under Mr Bernard Chan & the MT teacher. Having said this, the teachers who took over the classes of these two respective teachers are equally competent & diligent. So the pupils remained to be in good hands…definitely! Hope this news will allay the undue anxiety of all parents who are affected. Rest assured…Rulang has a pool of impressively credible educators .
