1amber:
the bottom line is that parental love, support and encouragement plays a more important part than a good school.

Agree 100%!the truth is, whether it is in Singapore or any other city around the world, popular school will always be popular and supply will always be insufficient to meet demand.
parents eyeing on popular school need to plan and strategise, and those with the legitimate means will always have an advantage
live and let live, and live within your means.

Hi, iām a newbie to PV. Iām considering to apply for PV at Nan Hua (staying<1km) or Henry Park (staying1-2km) next year since DD will be turning 4years old then.
Can i find out whether only one parent can do PV or can both parents do PV jointly to clock up the 40 hrs?
Many thanks! -

From what I gathered from the other posts, it depends on the school. Some schools allow both parents to clock up the hours jointly and and some done.Hi, i'm a newbie to PV. Am considering the same path at the same school, though I don't have the advantage of proximity as you. -

I suggest applying to BOTH schools as you might not get selected as a PV even tho you want to volunteer.
If you can spare the time, I suggest you do PV for both schools and monitor the situation on registration day. Always work better if you have more options. -

I think some are working and some are not. For those who works, I think they take leave or time off.

My ex-colleague went as far as to tender her resignation (tried to take 1 year no-pay leave, but HR deem that PV is not a good enough reason for granting no-pay leave) so that she can PV in 3 schools! So she has more choices during 2B registration. She is Singaporean by the way. Really :salute: her for her dedication. In the end, she succeeded in enrolling her boy in one of the 3 schools she PVed in. I'm really happy for her that her sacrifice and labour paid off.
