I want to thank all the parents here for all the advice, suggestions and encouragement given to me and everyone else here during this ardous registration process. Ours/our kids’ education journey has only just begun! Good luck to all! God bless! -
BTPS only conducted balloting in year 2000

Essential:
BTPS only conducted balloting in year 2000
My observance from Kiasuparents database (only available from 2006 to 2010) reveal that BTPS actually did conduct balloting for Phase 2CS in year 2006. The take-up rate decreased from 2006 to 2008 but started to pick up gradually thereafter i.e. last year cummulative take-up rate up to Phase 2CS was 97% while this year 98% (176/180). The link to the balloting history is at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bukit-timah
Hi Essential, thank you in advance if you could share with us the link or database for balloting history prior to year 2006. Thanks. -
I believe BTPS will get into balloting in the coming years if they maintain/improve in their academic results. The school is situated in a quiet and rather conducive environment, with no distractions from nearby shopping complexes etcc…
The kids there are mostly english-speaking and seems pretty confident of themselves.
I believe BTPS has the potential to shine… -

Really? Any idea how many?jeanieg:
Called BTPS . So far 66 registered for 85 places. Let's hope all will go through!
We registered our DS for BTPS during Phase 2C as we received mostly positive comments from colleague and friends who have children in the school. I understand that the school also produce one of the highest GEP students (which mean many gifted students already transferred out of the school to schools offering GEP in P4). Notwithstanding that, their PSLE results are quite decent as they are above the national average by quite a considerable margin.
Nevertheless, many Singapore parents have not discovered this rare gem due to its secluded location and the fact that it is also surrounded by branded schools. The school is quite well-received by foreigners in Phase 3 which contribute to its multinational and unique environment.
Yup, wish you all the best for parents who register their child in Phase 2CS and there will be no need for balloting. Cheers! -
if that’s true, then many eyes turning to BTPS now …

I know that gifted kids are rare to come by however I believe in nature and nurture . We registered our DS in BTPS this year because we believe in the nurture aspects of school but Not so much so whether they can produce how many GEP students
