any idea how they assign kids into various P1 classes ?

is it based on order of registration on registration day, or in random order?

at P1, is there such a thing as best 2 or 3 classes ?

Not sure how classes are grouped for P1. Usually same class for P1 and P2. Streaming based on P2 results, starts from P3.

in Pri 1-2, all kids are given same, equal opportunites to shine.

at end of P2, they take a common SA2. This was highest weightage for class allocation into P3.

That’s when the clever, average and academically challenged kids are separated. You can see the difference then.

I am new here..Didn't know that there is HPPS Parents' Networking Group discussions here in this KSP Forum until today when someone mentioned to me about KSP Forum..

My DS will be in P1 next year. Anyone staying around CCK/Bt. Panjang? I am staying in Bt. Panjang area, will either look for a carpool or engage school bus.

Does any parent know what is the school session timings for P1 next year? Thanks in advance

If I am not wrong, it's 1pm to 6:25pm. But will have to be reconfirmed during orientation as the school is moving to the holding campus next year.

Btw, does anyone know the cost range of the school bus transport from CCK/Bukit Panjang Area to HPPS? :?

The school website has the transport list, but now the hyperlink semms to be removed. Maybe you can call the school and get the tel no: of the relevant transport operator.
I think that next year the transport company might change…

Anyone bringing your DS/DD to the School Orientation on 17 Nov? Or is it compulsory to bring our DS/DD over?
