I am thinking of the Playhouse as the venue as DD1's birthday is in Feb.. don't want to leave it to the last minute especially when Jan is CNY 😛

will be scouring for birthday parties spots for next year's DD1 7th Birthday ,

the catch is, it needs to be adult friendly and kids friendly.... so kind of a headache...

Actually some form of fun educational toys are good! Can teach the children beyond just having fun... 🙂

I try to be discerning when selecting contents for the goodie bags. No snacks/ chocs/ sweets etc - basically what I wouldnt my child to eat. Raisins will be my choice but my children are not too crazy. The stuff must be cool right ;o

The last two birthdays my ds attended had really cool stuff- mostly small stationery and play items, even a torch light, magnifying glass. The jelly and snacks were those w/o artificial coloring and preservatives. Can be more costly though…

haha but all for the health of the children... its worth it! It's difficult to find things children like that are healthy... seriously. haha

I agree that its difficult to get healthy stuff. Thats why I rather include non-food items, that are fun and useful- and hope my children get same.
I mean we know the effort mummies put in to buy items and pack the goodie bags. I hate having to throw away the junk snacks ($$$ spent) and I wouldnt want others to be discarding items we bought. Hence the need to be extra careful and mindful of what goes into the goodie bags- thats JMHO ;))
