JToh, yes, Peony is at Taka Fair. You can try East Ocean too (also at Taka Fair), heard that their flaky yam is good too.
Read in the ST mooncake supplement that the "founder" of baked yam mooncake is baking for a restaurant called Long Jiang (Commonwealth) but setting up counter at a few of the major shopping centres like J8, Raffles City, IMM and Tampines Mall. -
thanks for the info jce!

Has anyone tried Hilton’s caramel vsop mooncake?
My DS has been asking me to buy.
Is it bittersweet?
Is the brandy strong? -
I never taste it before but my friend said that Hilton's caramel vsop mooncake is really delicious, salted caramel surrounding a truffle filled with heady brandy and a light touch of caramel. And they said that its bitter sweet and also you can tire of it after a few bites.

For those who want Yam mooncakes from Long Jiang, I have "lobang". Can get it for $38 (no yolk) and $40 (yolk) per box. Just found out that my kids’ art teacher’s father is one of the co-owners of Long Jiang! She passed me the order form yesterday. Can PM me if interested. Will have to collect from my place at Toa Payoh

It's not too sweet. Skin is flaky with many layers. It's like eating or-nee in a pastry.
