        Happy Mama:
Hi michyms, do you mean to say you used green tea powder, or is there really green tea baking powder in the market?

Happymama, sorry I meant green tea powder... don't know why I put a word baking in it :scratchhead: It's the usual green tea powder which can be found at baking shops.

Tried to bake a chocolate chip with almond nuts bread. The chocolate melted completely and thus looks like a chocolate bread.

Is there a special chocolate for baking bread?

silk magic, I have the same problem as you. I want chocolate chip bread, but the heat from the mixing melts the chocolate chip. Another way, is to make the dough in the breadmaker with dough function. Take out the dough, and mix in the chocolate chips and then bake it in the oven?

Won't the chocolate melt during the baking?

silk magic, it does, but at least it will be bits of chocolate, rather than the chocolate mixed into the entire dough and the dough becomes brown…

Is the chocolate chips that I used appropriate or is there any type that has higher melting point if I was to do the manual method?

I used the same choco chips as you. My Z machine did not melt all the choc chips, I can still see a bit of choco chips here and there. I throw in 'cold' choco chips(straight out from fridge into the breadmaker). My friend is using another brand of breadmaker, hers too, all choc chips melted.

Pardon the poor quality of my pic (This was one of my first breads using the Z machine, didnt rise properly but can see that the choc chips did not melt).

Is it possible to bake a wholemeal bread using 100% wholemeal flour instead of 50% bread flour and 50% wholemeal flour?

                        Hi there,

From my various experiments with the Z machine ..... No. The texture of the bread turns out dense and it doesn't rise as well. I cannot comment on oven baking as have not tried that.

If you are able to do so, please do share because my whole family loves wholemeal bread.

                        😄
