      BigDad:
My son did not do well for his chineses for prelims. He got a B. He used to be able to get As. Now quite worried. I was thinking of hiring a extra tutor for him on top of his normal chinese hols just for these few weeks. But worried that it would make him very stressed. Anyone has suggestions?

Hi, think is better find out the area that lost marks as we understand the 200 marks (100%) are made out by a few components.

Now left with the following since the oral already over:

      Listening compre - 20 marks
      Paper 1 :CL Compo. - 40 marks
Paper 2 : 90 marks (can break down either MCQ or open & end)

Then focus on the weaker area.

        Dear Parents,

I understand from supplier that many schools have not returned the prelim exam papers to the students! As such, there might be a delay in them selling the papers this year.

So, I've decided to collate & post them for free on my website so all of us can benefit (your kids & my students).

Please refer to this thread for details:

Like what you said, the school has not even returned the prelim papers - how to supply to you to collate? I'm also one of those parents waiting eagerly for the papers, and my DS school has not even return any!!!

The schools may be holding back the prelim papers so that the papers don’t make their way to Jeremy and other exam paper vendors.

We will just try our best to get from schools that have returned the papers.
At the moment I have Gongshang English & SHHK Maths ready on my website. 🙂

Updates: I’ve gotten the set of papers (8 schools per subject). I will be scanning them and uploading them by tomorrow night.

For parents with children in schools which are not in the sets, do contribute the papers so that we can have more papers for our students/children to practice. Thanks!

I ever called up MOE and asked whether isn’t all right to use pencil instead of pen in PSLE (especially for Math). The gentleman who picked up my call said is acceptable but provided our kid write clearly which is readable to the marker. As my boy 3 years ago use pencil throughout his prelim paper in school and that worried me.
