I just bought the Celestial Collection yesterday which consists of 4 pieces of Valrhona Chocolate Pearl snow skin and Black Sesame snow skin. We are having some guests from overseas and wanted them to try something 'fusion'.

My DH and I like both of them very much. In the former, the chocolate pearls has a crunchy texture so when you bite into the smooth milk bean paste, you get a taste of the 'crunchiness'.

      Sounds

      BlurBee, auntieM,

I just realized I did not review the Black Sesame snow skin moon cake. This one has black sesame paste and whilte chocolate in the centre. So
when you take a bite and chew it, the combi of the sesame paste and white chocolate complement beautifully in your mouth.

Autumnbronze, the Cookie Museum Mango snow skin is nice, I think it's called Golden Bunny. My DD loves that.

Jewels has a chocolate crunchy pearl too which is nice. Also have salted caramel version.
Ahhhh, so that's the name of the moon cake. Yup, I like it too πŸ˜„

Ummmmm, salted caramel sounds tempting

        Thanks for sharing πŸ˜„

Yes, the salted caramel is good. Oh, there’s espresso truffle too and their all-time fav champagne truffle. Jewels’ chocolatier use to make the champagne truffle mooncake at Raffles.

Just had a \"mooncake feast\". Hubby's birthday round the corner and his two brothers' birthday too. As it was my hubby's 40th, ordered a cheesecake for him from Pave (East Coast Road, near Katong Laksa), his brothers had a variety of snowskin mooncakes \"pieced\" together to form a cake, haha! We had durian snowskin from Home Favourites and another from Peony Jade, chocolate brandied cherries from Hilton, Salted caramel, champagne chocolate and expresso truffle from Jewels and of course the traditional ones from Tai Zhong Kok, Regent, MBS and Shang. Goodness knows how many calories I have piled on just from mooncakes! Oh well, once a year, once a year. And we say that how many times a year? Chinese New Year, Christmas, Mid-Autumn, birthdays... πŸ™‚
