Yes I agree 1 min seems like eternity!! It happened when he went toilet w maid, younger son with me… Initially still think ok…but aft 5-10mins I really panic… N call DH… He was like #%^**£><~}!! Luckily a kind lady took him to information counter when she saw him running up n down after traffic light outside t.mall!!
Recently also had 1 incident, fil fetch them bk from CC…DS1 walking behind them then he couldn’t find my fil n Ds2 (maybe they at mama shop) then he just walked his way bk to my mil plc (15-20mins leisure walk)… My fil searching for him then call my mil…he was back then… My DS2 the moment he saw me breakdown n cry say gorgor lost! Haiz
Now Everytime I will hold them tightly when I’m outside w them… Especially going overseas… I bought the child safety string w me (haha felt like pulling a dog but who cares)… Paranoid until will dream of him got lost b4 going for hols… -
ALL 3 of my Kids Each got such an Experience B4, Once per pax ....
ds1 : in Bukit Panjang Plaza when he's in K1. We dine at Jack's Place, brought him to Toilet, right Next door, a Couple of Times, and the 3rd time he wants to go himself, say he knows how ....
And we spent the Next Half hour Combing the Whole 4th sty, no Sign of my little boy ....
And dh finally Found him ....
Squatting in front of a Pet Shop looking at the little hamsters and rabbits in ....

ds2 : Can't Remember which Spore Shopping Centre it is, but got separated in a Crowd when he's barely 4. We split out to Look for him, and heard announcement to find him at Reception counter.
He's HAppily colouring a pic and Sucking some sweets from the lady receptionist .... :roll: :roll:
dd3 : In an IT Fair in Suntec when she's in P1 .... U know how crowded the place can be on a Sunday, with All the Last Day Offer ....
Brought her to Toilet, and she says she knows where to find us .... at the Animation Game Booth where my 2 other kids R .... End up she lost her Way .... And we Spent the Next half hour looking for each other .... :roll: :roll:
Luckily she waited at the Main Entrance Door Area, otherwise Dunno how to locate her ....
But I Always tell my kids, in case get separated, go to the Reception Counter, or the Main Entrance Door Area (if got security guard, better) and Wait for us there .... -
I tell my kids to stay put if they get lost, and not to follow anyone. I’m paranoid la. At first I thought I can tell them to go to the info counter. But if they’re only 3 or 4, how do they know what is the info counter? Then I thought, they can ask the nearest cashier for help. But, same issue, how will they know who the cashier is? Someone can pretend to be a cashier and take them away. So in the end I thought it’s just easier for them to just stay put. Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Now I ask my kids to memorize of mobile no…my 6 & 4 yo can remember his dad mobile no. I told them in case u got lost…just find someone n borrow his HP n call ur dad etc?
The recent holiday trips DH actually printed out a stack of paper with their name, cty our mobile no w cty code on slip into their pockets everyday for 7-10 days trip…hv to remind them lo -

Same here, I tell my kids to stay put at where they are if they are lost. Do not follow any strangers even if they offer to help. Stay put and we will look for them. -
