auntieM - can you share some insights to the curriculum of brighton M? i'm registered there for my girl to start toddlers grp in Dec but i'm a little worried that the materials are too structured which may not allow kids to think creatively. how's the non-academic activites in Brighton? much appreciate your sharing !
Hi there,
My DS left almost 2 years ago and the last I heard they are still doing great..
Loads of outdoor playtime, adequate worksheets and teachings to prepare them for P1. Spelling and also art n craft.. They renovated their kitchen 2 years ago so I think they are still cooking for kids and staff.. ..we used to sniff in the morning when we send our DS in to guess what's for lunch.. ..
I am sure your DD will have a great time there..

great thanks for your prompt reply. i’m anxiously waiting for their confirmation of my slot by end this month. i’m apparently early in the queue, so keeping my fingers crossed in the meantime…

Brighton - is it kindergarten or child care ?
how much school fees per month or per Term now ? -
last i heard is $998 for half day. not sure if they have increased since in 2011.
Anyone knows when the renovation will be completed for the Brighton Fort Road branch? -
Hi Claudine,
Have you considered Odyssey the GLobal Preschool on WIlkinson? I visited it recently and liked it a lot. AM plannign to possibly enrol my son there when he turns 3. I’ve also posted a topic on this forum to get some feedback or reviews about the centre…i hope i get some replies that will assist me in the decision making process. How’s your search going? -
I have a friends DD who is going to Odyssey Mountbatten Road. They are quite happy.

Thanks libran 269. Anymore feedback from anyone? The online
Reviews of the fourth ave branch were really bad. But I can’t find
much on the Mountbatten one. Thanks again. -
ChildFirst is very popular.. I saw pregnant ladies already reserving seats! Too kiasu...
I live in Mountbatten area too, but so far only heard of ChildFirst, LSH and MFS.
DH's niece went to MFS and it seemed like the only things she learnt were Hokkien terms for male & female private parts...

Hi Hi, havent been able to find one that is reasonably priced. Personally found Childfirst too techy, and they dont have a playground of their own (they have a garden tho). So now am zooming down to Little Skool House / Cheri Hearts.
Havent quite decided yet, and my boy is coming to 18 months soon.
Havent seen Odyssey yet? It will be a driving distance from Mountbatten right? -
Shaws is also good - not very academic but lot of other skills. They have opened another branch near Tanjong Katong.
