      Hi,

We would appreciate everyone's comments about the school.. the culture, CCA focus?, how are the current teachers etc as well as your personal observation of the school as compared to the remarks stated above.

Since no one has yet to answer you, I'll try.

PH is quite academically driven, no doubt about it; and also quite strict on discipline. You know the 金庸狮子吼 kungfu, many PH Ts are exponents of this (thought to be) extinct skills, hehe. But a lot of the Ts also has a heart. I'm not saying this because it's fashionable to speak well of your kid's school. I'm saying this because I know.

Not all students are born equal. Some come from more humble or even disadvantaged background (special needs, broken family). I've come across examples whereby the Ts really put in extra effort - within their means - to take care of these kids.

I like this type of school. Sometimes caring for those who have less matters more than giving to those who already has a lot.

Bro Mark, you are right! My neighbour didn't even detect things that the teachers discovered on her grandson who is from a broken family.

Not only this, if a child would like to pray during recess, he/she can obtain the prayer support either from the church volunteers or Preachers. I have come across kids who often ask for help in praying for their sick family members, parents who are working overseas, as well as their studies.

ALL THE BEST TO THOSE TAKING THEIR PSLE in 2011! JIA YOU!!

Extracted from a fren’s post in FB:

"To all candidates of PSLE 2011,
After 6 years of your life, you have come to this important crossroad. The piles of homework, worksheets and assessment books; time spent having tuition and classes; scoldings and nagging endured will all come down to your performance in the next 5 days. So please if possible, take Vit Cs, drink loads of water, take good nights rest, eat proper meals, prepare your stationery early, if not for yourself then for those who have loved you, supported you and encouraged you. I wished that you will be able to recall all the things you have studied and learned.
To all my students, know that I will be praying for you while you are doing your paper. So check til the last minute, 6 years of your life is worth those extra tens of minutes of checking your answers.
        Be blessed"

Oh yes Willow, my ds will be in P1-5 (HC: Matthew).
:please: It's nice of you to do the P1(2012) compilation list. Parents with P2-P6 kids must be very busy and stressed during this exams period.
