My DD1 has not completed the paper yet; left with the comprehension part so I will do the marking later šŸ˜„ .

Just happened to flip thru all the past-year papers and realized this the only one with parts missing answers šŸ˜‚

We shall know the result tomorrow, so _______ you.

          The answer is "will".
Can someone please explain why it cannot be "shall".

The teacher said that the ________ of rafflesia is worse than the rotting meat.

                (fragrance, odour, stench)

Which one could be the right word and why?

My guess is \"stench\" as it is comparing rafflesia to rotting meat šŸ˜‰

I agree, as stench means extremely unpleasent smell or odour. so it is more apt to use stench.

Hi! Need help with the following question; TIA šŸ˜„

Some of the passengers were thrown off their seats when the train came to a _______stop.

                        1) gradual
                        2) sudden
                        3) violent
                        4) hasty

DD1 answer is (2) but EL Teacher said is (3).
                        Why?
