I did not subscribe to this post, here the answers which i know.

Tickets.
The 3 world tickets is the most cheapers if you purchase at the exit of the world. So folks, no matter where you get you can’t get the cheapest until you exit. Other than Pacific Fair, I recall the building near the main beach in Surfers Paradise that sells the ticket, Surfer Paradise Tarven, Cavill Ave. Please do not go late at weekend to purchase it. They close early. We arrived in Gold Coast on Saturday. Pacific Fair will be a Ghost Town by latest 6pm

Sea View
Actually if you don’t have young kids and you are driving, you can consider boardbeach which the beach is quieter.

Car Rental
If you arrival via Gold Coast Airport, you can take a coach bus to the surfers and rent the car at Gold Coast which is cheaper. If you arrived from Brisbane, you can also take coach buses to Gold Coast and rent locally. There are only 3 catch. First When you return, most might charge extra if you return the car at airport and you must return at specify time if worst you have to return at the renting spot. 2. If you taking coach back to airport, you have to go by the schedule and provided you don’t have much luggage after 1 week trip(hardly) Lastly, the vehicle you are renting may be an older model (you pay more on petrol) or the deposit/insurance you have pay in cash.

Driving
Drive auto if you can, going up the mountain carrying 4 passengers is abit too hard for 1.6L and if you are driving manual up the hill (good luck). We drove a 2 litre Camry.

Have a pleasant journey and book hotel early

I believe it will be cheaper if get online (via 'Myfun') assuming it is now offering the discount package of AUD109 for SW, MW and Wet n Wild. Otherwise it will be AUD80 and AUD72 (member discount per world). Superbmothers mentioned in the previous post that we get at the exit, or at Pacific Fair but personally I prefer to get online.

As for car rental, Superbmothers made a good point about renting a bigger auto car (luggage space). I wonder how to get the discount code though inorder to enjoy the discount. It's not that cheap - AUD400 for Toyota Camry for a week that includes taxes, admin fees etc.

So, who are those going this Nov? I've booked 29 Nov - 5 Dec, SQ flights and staying at Windsurfers @ Mainwater, north of Surfers Paradise. I'm now planning on the itineraries, while the kids prepare for their exams

We will be travelling from 24 Nov - 1 Dec, have not decided on the accomodation, looking at QT Gold Coast, Holiday Inn at Surfers Paradise or other options in BroadBeach. A few recommended Hertz, so most likely will get from them too. My dh leave it to me to do the planning...but I've not done any yet.. My ds1 promised to help out and check for discounts online after his exam this week. Maybe we can share our ideas :evil:

Yes. 3 Worlds refer to SW, MW and DW. I think SW is the most popular due to its size of the theme park and its sea-theme. MW has the Warner Bros characters, and DW has the little 'wildlife' park and photo-taking with Koalas etc. Many says that DW has the most thrilling rides that's why it's more appealing to older kids. I'll be going for all the 3 Worlds even though my kids are younger (6-11) and may not go for all the thrill rides. It's for the experience.

The VIP pass is for entry to Sea world, movie world and wet and wild. Dream world not inclusive. Heard from friend that her children enjoyed it, p5 and p6 but might not be suitable for younger kids like P1 and below cos of height limit.

DW has rides that cater to all ages - but limited kiddy rides. In a different part of the park, there are animals to see, including white tigers. Check out the white tiger showtime when u are there.


During one of our visits, there was a short performance of black panthers just outside the wildlife park souvenir shop. The panthers were on leash, no enclosure at all!! Quite scary when the animal stare straight into your eyes at such close proximity.

Food at the park is quite awful, and very expensive. If you have a car, you may want to tabao from Maccas on your way to the park. JMHO.

Dream World is especially suitable for young teens who will love the rides especially the rollercoasters. In fact rides at Dream World are more exciting and interesting than those at the other 2 worlds.
