That’s true. Good thing I have my mum who can help out sometimes. Those who have

no one to help may need to wait till kids are older.

We see our colleagues for longer duration than husband so it is important to me to keep physical closeness, a quick kiss on the lips before we go on separate ways to work and a nice hug before going to sleep help to maintain the mental closeness.

Good thread. Nice to read the "little" things that are done to keep the relationship "fresh". Kudos to all. What’s important is the effort taken to maintain the relationship.

This question is for the husbands.

Suppose on a heavy rainy day both of u has only one umbrella and u need to go get yr car in an open carpark. What would u do? Both share the tiny brolly. U go drive car over. Ask wife to drive car over

              Depends ...

              If heavy rain ...
Husband go take car and then pick up wife.

If not so heavy rain ...
Husband and wife to share umbrella, wife hold umbrella, husband hug her tight tight.

Ask wife to drive car over ... NEVER!

I witnessed this yday. Maybe i can't assume the woman is the wife. Then again, man shouldn't behave like that 🤷

once, we encountered a man who was pushing a stroller. he pushed open the (mall) glass door and then didn't hold for his wife who was carrying the infant. we were standing near the door waiting for the lift and my husband quickly rushed to hold the door for that man's wife 😉 . that man then go  . 😓

rewind 10 yrs ago, me and husband was sitting at the coffee shop eating lunch. a strong gust of wind blew a styrofoam box cover in our direction. my husband instinctively 'siam' 🦆 and the box flew and hit my face. i was sitting beside him and never let him off this 'joke' ever since. 😉

sometimes he would ask me to take umbrella to get car cos he didnt want to get wet. sometimes the other way round (he would go cos he didnt want me to get wet).

dh also not one of those who would automatically carry grocery/shopping bags. now better would help. if didnt help, i wont be bothered by it too.

imho, cant be 斤斤计较. otherwise, very tiring.

I dun mind driving to pick my husband to keep him out of rain. He dun mind doing that for me either.

Ok what… since I CAN drive, why let him come home in the rain… catch a flu and THEN, I have to help him get well?
