any good restaurant to recommend dim sum ?

I recommended Wah Lok at Carlton Hotel in an earlier post. If you would like to experience the authentic feel of ordering from trolleys go for Red Star at Chin Swee. This is cheaper too 😉

Dim sum at the chinese rest in the basement of Forum is good too!

            How about northwest Indian? 😄

Jaggi's is good. Tried it on a friend's recommendation.

For North Indian, I like Daawat Tandoori Restaurant at Thomson. They have pretty good set meals for people who arent sure what to order.

Currently they are having a promotion for Standchart card holders.

For North Indian, if you want a nice restaurant, try out: Song of India (Scotts Road), Rang Mahal (Pan Pac), Shahi Maharani (Raffles City)

A more relaxed restaurant: Vansh (Singapore Indoor Stadium), Heritage (6th Avenue Centre).

Little India has lots of casual, cheap and good Indian restaurants.

Kinara at Clark Quay and East Coast Road serve good North Indian food. There is one branch at Holland Village but haven’t been there.

For cheap and affordable food, there is Tandoori Corner at Balestier Shopping Centre, an al fresco eatery.

I must share this: I visited Bistro du Vin @ Shaw Centre recently. It’s a casual French restaurant next to Les Amis. I ordered mussels, which was their special of the day. OMG. The mussels were the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had plenty of mussels in Europe. They were the most tender, juicy, succulent mussels I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. I never knew mussels could be tender! (Not mushy tender, but tender with a delicate bite, if you know what I mean). You know how mussels always have that slightly tough bit? These don’t. And not long after that visit to Bistro du Vin, I had mussels at the Disgruntled Chef, which, while yummy, weren’t as beautiful as the mussels at Bistro du Vin. I could go on and on and on about it. Thinking about it now is making me drool.

I’d love to go again. I hope they have mussels on the menu…
