if i am a mil, i dont wish to


1) stay with my kids.
2) look after my grandchildren.
3) cook dinner every night for anyone (except dh) to come home to eat.
4) have to handle the my kids' maid (s).

can only think of the above at this moment, but you never know how things might be like in the future, so................

I don't mind looking after grandchildren if my DIL needs help. I don't mind cooking extra for them since we need to eat too. But I don't wish to clean their house for them, borrow them money to buy luxuries goods, sell my house to stay with them, go tour with them, getting too involve in their daily chores.

2) Hope I don’t get involved in educating my grandchildren.
3) Hope I don’t have to cook dinner OTHER than for husband.
4) Hope I don’t have to sell house to stay with them…I still want to call the shots in my own place.

I don’t mind cooking for the family provided they (DIL and grandchildren) enjoy my cooking. Hope to stay healthy and continue to work or rather semi-retire to spend time travelling.


Worst will be to take charge of their maid (if any).

i will also wanna to take care of my grandchildren…err…dunno if i have such long life to see…

1. Actually I would love them to stay with me (in my house, or shared house but not I stay in their house) as I will miss them very much!!!

2. Alternatively, stay near each other and they can come for dinner every night, but I will need help with cooking as I rarely cook now lolx.
3. I don’t mind helping with the grandkids (not academically though) if they are willing to, cos I know the difficulty of having to work (both parents) and juggle between work & childcare. Again, preferably with a helper.
4. I will remind myself to MYOB, and still showing love and respect to both sons and dils while at the same time remain firm and dignified.

Hmm well, that’s wat I think now but God knows what the future is like…
