Hi,


Can any parent of SCGS advise (during filing up the P1 registration form) if u must declare if your residential address is rental or own house?
Appreciate your good advice.

You mean in the P1 registration form? There wasn't any such column during our time.....

because too many people rent a home near the school and use that address to register…example: Chancery Court condominim / apartment at Barker road (right beside ACS Barker primary school) is hot & popular in that aspect…many parents rent a unit and then register their son to get into ACS.


changes going on.
perhaps schools now trying to collate data / statistics, monitor closely. Trying to sieve out those residential parents vs. rental parents.

Under MOE website for address to use, it stated as:


Address Used for Registration
The address to be used for the registration of children in the Primary One registration is the official
residential address on the parents’ NRIC. This address will be used to determine the home-school
distance category. Parents may obtain a list of schools within the 1km and 1-2km distance categories
from the OneMap SchoolQuery Service managed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

Is attached the standard current form to use when parent register their child for P1 under phase 2C. If so, there is really no mention of rental or own house? :? http://i51.tinypic.com/2wef7gw.jpg\">

There's another form you'll need to fill in (like those typical MCQ exam paper where you shade the answers). Not sure if it's from the school or MOE but does look like it's for statistic purposes. They even ask about parents' educational level :shock:

Yes. In addition to the form that Forevernikon posted above, there’s another yellow (if my memory didn’t fail me ;p) form that asked for parents’ contact details, address etc. But not sure if it’s just for SCGS or all primary school, maybe those who has gone for P1 registration this year can advise?

Which phase was your child in when you registered at SCGS?

The form that you mentioned is for parents whose children have successfully registered with the school to fill in. Information within the database is meant to help MOE populate its database.

for your replies. It is therefore true that there is a supp form to be completed (for SCGS P1 registration). We wonder if this will be a std form used for all other Primary school?
