Happy Call Korean Frying Pan

Chenonceau:
The husband bought a 75mm pan in Korea for SGD$40 at Lotte Mart (Korea's equivalent of Walmart). He's gonna try and get the 55mm one at another outlet because the one he went to had run out of the 55mm.
It seems that this pan is more popular with foreigners than with Koreans.
You are very right about this. Ask your husband to try Shinsegae Mart they might have. -

Mamo:
I used my HCP to fry black promfret. The middle part is nicely brown but the sides are still greyish white though it's cook. In the end, I have to fry it using my wok to give it a crisp. I conclude that it is not ideal for frying fish if u want it to be crispy.
Haha..Black promfret was my first try out. I had the same problem you faced but I ate with it and the fish was juicy. It was because the promfret was too \"fat\" and not flat. Our normal wok has a curve so it \"wrapped\" the fish well, that's why I say there's no incentive for me.
I find washing alittle tough as the pan cannot be separated and feels it is always in your way, you have to twist and turn. On the whole, it is a new experience and very suitable for oily fish and 'dry fry' eg. hash brown, omelette, tofu. I 'dry' cook my broccoli on slow heat ie. just add a few tbsp of water and broccoli and cook for 5mins and remove only when serving. Broccoli still green and soft to eat.
Still a good pan IMO. -
