      TulipisPink:
Grammar Q: During today's Science lesson, Miss Lee told us that hot air ______ when heated.

Choice (a) rises or (b) will rise
We use the present simple tense for permanent truths; hence, the answer is (a) rises.

            Correct answer is (2).

Some students might opt for (4). However, the infinitive 'to rush' already captures the idea of 'quickly'.

                Hi Ridicully,

Can you help to explain when do we use a or an? For example, why is it a electrician and not an electrician? and an election and not a election?
                TIA.

                  or

Shermaine told her mother that she was leaving for London the next morning.

                  Which one is correct?

                      The second one is.

If the first one was an accurate S&T answer, the question given would be a little tweaked to look like this \"\"I will be leaving for London tomorrow morning,\" Shermaine told her mother.\"

Hmmm... both look correct.... lemme think.....

I'm guessing that \"took\" is the correct answer as \"was taking\" implies that the action of taking him has not yet been completed. However, it is. Thus, \"took\" is the more apt answer...

                        hope that helps šŸ˜„
