I am scared of buying anymore assessment books for him.

I have that (p2) but truthly speaking I never touched.. No time. only practicing those are in the past papers now....

Yes...after posting in the 'English Assessment Thread', I realize that there is so much to be done in a year and yet not enough time.
That's why I'm hesitating to get Graphic Stimulus for P2. Back to the topic on Math...I will prob be getting the PSP by Fabian Ng for P2.

          Hi,
Yes Thats a nice one to get. I've used it for my dd. only when I saw P3, Its a bit thicker than P2. But this time I am planning to get two assesments for 1st half. I asked my dh to select 2 for me. he went to popular last week and short listed
          1. Challenging maths EPH By Sandhya Sunthar .
          2. Andrew ER's worksheets / PSP by Fabian Ng
          3. Casco CA/SA papers.

This is HIS choice. mmm now I am feeling why did I asked him :stupid: cos I am the teacher so I will end up with :frustrated: and

Oh my, how many assessments do you all get for your kids for each subject?

I bought only 2 for DD who is in P2, Andrew Er’s problem sums and Dawn Tai’s Challenging 4-in-1. And even that, I did not make DD do all the exercises.

                    Hi funz
I have many when DD was in Pri 1. now, I reduced the no. cos he has no time for that. Homework already take up alot of his time. This year, on top of assessments, we bought those top schools papers. But, we also din let him try all the papers....

                      Hi,

Regarding Casco CA/SA papers, while I understand the need to get topical math assessment books or problem-solving ones, I personally feel that instead of getting assessment books that is CA/SA based, it would be better to let the child work on past year papers.

i also feel no need to get assessment bks that are CA/SA type. do exam pprs better. for assessment bks, shd get those topical type to drill the basics, before applying the concepts to exam pprs.

for exam pprs, just do those difficult questions. no need do all
