Yes exactly. I look at their itinerary for London and museums are not included leh. Must stay one extra day on our own if we want to visit the museums.Dnls_mum:
Local travel agencies tend to pack a lot in a day. You don't really get to visit museums etc. A lot of times they make only photostops at well known landmarks only. You should try checking the itinerary provided by land tour operators like Insight. They are more expensive but they tend to have better hotels and tour inclusions and more relaxed pace.
Will look into Insight. Thanks for the tip.
In case you decide to go with a local Singapore agency and want to stay on in London for one or 2 days to visit places that your tour did not bring you to, a good website to check is Viator. I have used their service in London (Tower of London etc) and Rome (Vatican Museum) and find that they are pretty reliable with informative guides. Even if you don't book a tour from them, their tours can provide you with an idea of what you can see or do in London.
I love London. I'd like to bring my kids there at some point too. Have fun!

Hi there, yes i felt that Switz would be better in June holidays. I am reading the forum and thinking about London, but I am quite worried about the weather. i read on tripadvisor that Eve of Xmas n Xmas no public transport, so what we going to do the whole day
We have never been to a winter place, so i am not sure if I will be able to take it with the kids.
NZ seems better, but I am worried about how to get from CHC to Queenstown, SI hahah,, no confidence to drive alone, in case we end up lost. -

London has 4 major airports : Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick and London City
Most of us fly into Heathrow from Asia
There are some flights from Stansted / Gatwick to US, and London City cater to regional flights intra-Europe mostly and served by LCC
that hotel is quite far away from town
