Thanks a lot for all your valuable suggestions. It really helped me to come out of my dilemma.

My daughter has not started going to NUS-HS. She will be going from next January.

As my husband was here on a project basis, he had to go back to India this year. I am here only because of my daughter’s passion for going to NUS-HS. But staying all the way for six long years alone in Singapore would be very difficult. Hence, as NUS-HS has modular curriculum, I was hoping that my daughter will be able to complete the first 4 years in just 3 years and then we both can go back to India for her further studies (i.e. 11th and 12th).

However, as NUS-HS doesn’t give an O-level certificate, I don’t know whether she will get admission into any good school for class-11. Anyhow, I need to check with the schools there at a later date.

As suggested by you, I should allow her to continue studying here without worrying because the curriculum is simply great.

Thanks a lot for such useful information.

If your husband not working in Singapore and you are not employed here or a PR here, maybe you need to first check whether you can stay long term in Singapore before planning next steps.
Suggest that you also talk to the school and see what advices they offer if you want your daughter to stay only 3 years.
If the 3 years not be recognized in India, your daughter may have to start from sec 1 again?

We are PR. So I guess staying here should not be a problem.

Yes, I think I need to talk to NUSHS regarding what kind of certificate they give if at all my daughter leaves in between.

Also, I need to check back in India whether the certificate given here will be considered valid there.

Life is not easy when children are growing up.

Would like to check about MT and Higher MT (Chinese) in NUSH.

Received a letter from NUSH to select 2nd language. If my DS chooses to take HMT, does he need to attend both HMT and MT lessions or only HMT ?

                  Hi,

I’m P6, and I have a CO for NUSH. However, I’m quite worried because NUSH is new, and I don’t think all universities accept their diploma, although famous ones do. Let’s say, if I cannot go to prestigious universities due to personal issues, will lesser-known universities accept the diploma?
