As for PV, u may want to try Beacon as for now the result is all PV get in though P2B.
Your child is born in which year? -

It doesn't matter whether the school your child is in offers GEP or not. It depends on the results of the GEP test for the child. If the child doesn't pass the GEP test, he will be in the normal class even if the school offers GEP. -
BPPS is not a GEP centre. Todate, there are total of 9 GEP centers, listed here:-
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/programmes/gifted-education-programme/gep-schools/
at the end of Primary 3, if your child can clear two challenging rounds of GEP tests and eventually offered the GEP programme by MOE to the Top 1% of the entire P3 student population cohort, you can decide to accept or reject the offer. If accept, then transfer your child out of BPPS - into one of the above 9 GEP centres, to continue his remaining P4 to P6 education.
round 2 is more challenging to clear, both English & Maths.
the GEP programme is an accelerated, rapid & fast paced, rigorous demanding curriculum from P4 to P6. It is not easy to get in, also not easy to get out. -
My MUM live within 1km from Beacon and BPPS. So I dono which school would be better for kid born in 2007.
My MIL stay within 2km from Nan Hua.
I dono if I should do PV at Nan Hua and if fail after 2B balloting, then return to Beacon or BPPS for 2C.
What you all suggestion for me, very confused now. -

Kindly note that if you decide to register with either Beacon or BPPS via caregiver route, you will be under the 1-2 km category even though your mother's house is < 1 km from the schools. My MUM live within 1km from Beacon and BPPS. So I dono which school would be better for kid born in 2007.

For Nan Hua, its very difficult to be PV as they need professional people like IT and etc.
Your IC indicate which add? Your MIL or your mum? If is your mum, then go for Beacon or BPPS for PV. FYI, this year BPPS need to ballot within 2km for P2B... Im one of the unlucky 7 to ballot out
... Now in the waiting list for my DD1.
