Need some enlightenment on this. Lower T-Score will benefit those high achievers but not those averagers?

low t-score is a RESULT from easy papers, hence the averagers benefits, but the high achievers (lose out) are not able to be set apart from the averagers due to the smaller SD and higher mean, in other words, the averagers and the high achievers are likely to be lumped together

PSLE t-score is a national ranking exercise, not 100% a test of ability per se

      100%agree :hi5:

Sorry, can I just ask a quick question?

Does anyone know the estimated COP for Cedar Girls Secondary IP program? The MOE sec school booklet only tells the O level track COP. Thanks!

                      Hi Lilac88

No one knows the estimated COP as IP will start next year. I called the school yesterday and was surprised to know that Cedar will only take 90 students for IP track and almost half of the vacancies have already been filled via DSA. In other words, there are only around 45 vacancies left for PSLE results posting which is really pathetic. I guess the COP will be quite high then.

Please enlighten me here… out of touch with the secondary school system since my own…

Qn1) If a student gets eg. 240, it’s an Express for sure and there is no option for student to choose normal, right?
Qn2) If student gets 180, it’s Normal for sure, right?
Qn3) What is range for those who can choose Express or Normal ( somewhere around 188 to 200)???
