      I thought top 3% is about >260+

      i think so, which gives approx 3% x 42,000 = 1,260 for 2010 cohort

that means 270 and above is likely the top 1%, approx 400+

        Hi,

My DS is exempetd from MT. Does anyone know how are T-scores affected if he has only 3 subjects ? Any idea if he would be "advantaged" or "disadvantaged" ? Thanks!!

Don't know exactly how PSLE scores are calculated with MT exemption BUT all my friends' kids who were exempted from MT did far better than expectations.

Hi, anyone knows how to calculate the T-score. What would be the estimated T score for an average of 92%? Thanks much!

it depends that average 92% is from which school? some schools' marks are a consistent gauge of t-score performance every year. for example, if you attend the NYPS briefing at the end of Pri 5, you are usually told that the average increase in t-score from prelim to actual is ranged from 10 to 60, depends on individual's consistency as well

also, 92% for each subject does not translate into same t-score for each subject which is dependent on the mean and the SD of each subject each year

Yeah, there wouldn't be any accurate calculations as the people taking the exams are different and the exam standard is different. For example NYPS top normally ranges between 275-290, yet in Prelim this year, the highest is only in the 250s.

Does anyone know, for T-score, how are the scores for students taking foundation subject treated?

                        Thanks
