My opinion is that tuition centres run by full time ex-teachers are better than francised ones. This is because the former will give their 100% since they own the centres, while tutors hired by francised centres might just give their 50%. Besides, francised centres usually experience a high turn-over rate for tutors as compared to those run by the tutors themselves.
Hi,
Any idea if the bishan branch tutors are ex-teachers? -

Hi,
I would have agreed to this statement completely until I had a very bad experience with one Centre's owner/principal who practically talked down to me like I am an 8 year old kid/her student, while her teachers are a million times more polite and helful than her. Seems to me that because the owners have been their own bosses and maybe their businesses have been around for a while, they got so used to talking down to everyone! -
uh sorry i dunno what is that…

If you want to join the High Ability classes, be prepared to show "proof" that your children are above average. This is the part that galls me.

I just withdrawed my kid from this school after he attended English course for 1 and 1/2 year. It look like no much improvement but even get worse…

I have a friend who used to work in Mind Stretcher.
According to her, there are lots of worksheet to complete and it’s very difficult too. So not all children can absorbed. -

Most of the parents's negative feedback here about MS is very true. Their teaching quality is way below my expectation for the above-average tuition fees. I wonder how the teachers monitor their students' learning progress if they absent from the classes so often. I stopped sending my son for his maths and english classes at Yew Tee branch last month, after a year with them. Basically, they just don't care. I doubt they will improve as they don't even bother why we quit....
Hi, MS sounds quite disappointing in terms of their teachers. Can share which level is your son at? -
Hi, I intent to enrol my son K2 in Mind Stretcher P1 Preparatory class. Anyone has any feedback on the teachers in Yew Tee Point? :boogie:

Hi, can testify to that as my kid’s classmate who topped Science in his class goes to MindStretcher. But like to find out if they specialise in Maths too. Thanks!
