The suggested answer states that Lighting is a source of electricity. Hwever, I have never come across lightning being used as a source of electricity.

I reckon the answer is (2). Must be Error in the answers provided. There is no digestion taken place in the large intestine.

Evaporation only takes place at temperature above 0c - true or false ?

Several guide books stated evaporation occurs between 0c to 100c.
Can evaporation occurs at <100c ?

One of the important thing to look out for in a question are words like "based on the set-up and data collected". This means that we cannot apply our general knowledge on the topic to answer the question. Instead we must base our answer solely on the information given in the question.

Unfortunately, the information in the picture is ambiguous because there is not details on what the "9 units" and "12 units" in the picture represents. However, there is a clue given at the start of the question that "…wanted to find out if living thing gives out carbon dioxide". Therefore, I conclude that the 9 and 12 units represent the amount of carbon dioxide before and after the experiment.

State A cannot be deduced from the experimental results as there is no measurement/data/result collected on the amount of oxygen before and after the experiment.

State C also cannot be deduced because there was no additional experiment being carried out with different no of cockroaches.

My daughter was presented with the following question?

Which of the following system(s) function(s) when a person exercises?

                        A: Circulatory system
                        B: Digestive system
                        😄 Muscular system
                        😧 Skeletal system

                        (1) C only
                        (2) A & C only
                        (3) A, C & D only
                        (4) All of the above

Does the digestive system stop functioning during exercise?
