Has anyone tried Science Buddies? I like that they have hands on experiments but wondering how their classes compare to other classes.

My child is in Learning Lab and her science drop from 85 SA1 to 68 SA2. Her section A get 44/60 and B 22/40. I am planning to withdraw her from Learning Lab. Can anyone advise what can be done to improve her grades. Any other good science enrichment to recommend or home tutor? Which is better. Thanks.

                  Hi,

I am in the same situation as you and contemplating to withdraw her or not. She has all 3 subjects tuition with TLL @ Mountbatten. For the Maths and English, have seen tremendous improvement, however not for the Science. I did have a check with her school teacher and was informed that the school marking for Paper 2 is hard. if you can score over 30, that is consider very good. Hence, to do well in Science for her school, paper 1 is the paper for her to score. She has further explained that kids generally will improve on paper 2 as they proceed to the higher level when they are more exposed to the questions. Hence, different schools practised differently. An absolute score may mean nothing if you do not know the overall cohort performance.

Anyway, all options open and if you are putting up in the east, may want to try Vitamindz Science. I am also contemplating as timing is not so ideal, IMHO.

My child also takes 3 subjects at TTL. Her other two subjects also can see improvement. But my husband was very upset with her science result for the amount of money we paid at TTL. I am staying in the north area so east side will be a bit far for me. Thanks. Thinking into the option of signing her up at Tony Buzan. Do you have any idea about this centre?

I sent my kids to Tony Buzan for a while, it helped make my older one interested in mind-mapping and it did help him in his note-taking for science. However, I find it better as pure enrichment.

Does that help in your child's section B process skill and is there any improvement in your child's result? I found that their material is very brief not that details. Thanks.
