Hello Neko, may I know which school is your DD in?Neko:
:congrats: to everyone selected for GEP!
I was hesitant abt letting dd join the prog 2 yrs ago when she was selected but decided to trust her judgement. no regrets now - she loves her school, her friends (the kids in the GE classes are very close knitted), her teachers and the prog.
Best decision (made by dd) ever!!! thanks to vlim, who gave a lot of valuable advice 2 yrs ago

Which ISO (IRS/IVP/DI/CMPS) to select largely depends on ur child’s strengths/preferences. dd was very sure she wanted to do IRS since P4. This yr she enjoyed the whole IRS process and learned a lot from her fantastic teacher-mentor. d presentation, while unnerving, was a great learning experience!

There is no school where ALL the teachers EQUALLY good. We live in an imperfect world. It's your luck. I'd choose a school base on the culture. If you want your kid to learn to work hard and still have fun, choose a Non- Chinese based school.
Are all the GEP teachers in Rosyth equally good? Do they all teach in class? If the teacher does not teach and expect the kids to know their work, then it would be very tough for the kids especially when the content is already difficult.
Congrats to all whose kid's got in the program! May your kid blossom in whichever program you choose. -
little is heard of St Hilda GEP. how is it like ?

Hi thmejlfm. some kids takes a while longer to adjust to new environment. hope thgs will be better next yr! *hugs*Thanks, jtoh.
I hope so. Yes, it is very tough.
My dd has became very mutual, and she kept things to herself sometime. I am quite worried about this. Have tried to talk her. But, always show her frustration.
does ur dd still contact her old friends? my dd has made a lot of new friends in her current school but still keeps in touch with her old friends very regularly. -

Coping well in GEP without much enrichment.
My dd attends chinese enrichment. No tuition for other subjects. So far she is coping with GE syllabus (not topping std like when in p1-3 lah but more than 80% and she's happy with that, so am I
). she did not ask for tuition for other subj.
I'm impressed, Neko. :celebrate:
