      It is $3.00 or $2.80 in Takashimaya basement food hall!

          Nothing in orchard is cheap or rather economical, all food court prices oso much higher....

              if you work in Orchard area & makan is so mahan and quantity small & miserable (eat $5.80 wonton also not full, must eat something else) , maybe can packet own lunch like sandwiches, say on 2 days out of 5 days per week (Mon-Fri), to cut down $.


              everyday eat lunch close to $6 just for 1 meal - can’t tahan in the long run.

                ditto for those working in shenton way/suntec area/CBD, not only must dress well but have to eat well (n expensive) too :slapshead:

                  but eating in hwker centre also not necessary economical. a lunch at a coffeeshop easily cost $5 also, if u eat with a toddler.

                    even fast food restaurants are not cheap either. We only patronise if they give discount coupons but nowasdays cut down because of health reasons

                      yesterday, ate $1 chuey kweh (5 pieces) at wet market with lots of chai poh - it’s full. Not sure what other things we can eat to make us full, at reasonable $.


                      Yes, agree. eat 2 bowls of fish ball noodle or bak chor mee (one for parent, one for toddler) at $2.50 each - total up easily $5 gone, exclude drinks.

                        wow that's cheap. my place selling 4 pcs for $1 and the chai poh is pathetic/sometimes with burnt smell with black bits :mad:
