Do you think things are getting riddiculous expensive?
-
ditto for those working in shenton way/suntec area/CBD, not only must dress well but have to eat well (n expensive) too :slapshead:
-
but eating in hwker centre also not necessary economical. a lunch at a coffeeshop easily cost $5 also, if u eat with a toddler.
-
even fast food restaurants are not cheap either. We only patronise if they give discount coupons but nowasdays cut down because of health reasons
-
yesterday, ate $1 chuey kweh (5 pieces) at wet market with lots of chai poh - it’s full. Not sure what other things we can eat to make us full, at reasonable $.
Yes, agree. eat 2 bowls of fish ball noodle or bak chor mee (one for parent, one for toddler) at $2.50 each - total up easily $5 gone, exclude drinks. -

wow that's cheap. my place selling 4 pcs for $1 and the chai poh is pathetic/sometimes with burnt smell with black bits  -
yesterday was public holiday, so early morning visited my mil wet market for breakfast. The $1 chuey kweh was sold at Pipit road wet market (inside old Macpherson housing estate).
if is burnt, feedback to the seller - tell him to improve next time. If not, customers wont patronize him anymore, if keep burning. Then he’ll do something about it … -

How abt being charged 30cents for a glass of warm water in the restaurant? Not that we did not order drinks for the adults, the warm water is basically for the child!
-
Some restaurants charge 60 cents for water so i rather order a chinese tea which is $1…
-
next time bring along own water bottle, not worth pay 60 cents.
