Hey... thanks people... for your moral support. I need it. Must keep telling myself not to be scared.

        YOU? Need moral support? :slapshead:

I can so imagine her MIL telling her kakis..

I need moral support, I'll be moving in with my son & DIL. Everytime I set out to do something, somehow, dunno how, no matter how strong my resolve, I end up doing what my DIL wants me to. And to top it off, I end up doing it her way, willingly!!

        πŸ˜“
Dunnid moral support...need spiritual support. thought this sounds like 'kong tau' (hokkien for spell)?

Kekekekeke! That is what I WISH I could do. Get her to do everything my way willingly. But for the moment, I am happy enough that she stay on her side of the house so that I can do what I want on my side... without her telling me that what I'm doing is wrong or ill advised.

It's the memory... the reminiscence of yesteryears tts haunting. Other than tt you ARE the gentle warrior princess who WINS, right? You definitely are brave to do this. Perhaps it's time to pin up the rules of engagement agn - how to fight n win?

I'd be stoopid to put myself in this position agn... if I can help it. Nuh-uh. No more little miss nicey budsy. Hmmmph. Get out of my life n stay out!

Strange thing always was, since I'm always doing something wrong.. ie. bad n incompetent mommy to my children.. the whale-fat, incompetent wife who can't please my husband.. an even lousy DIL who didnt even know how to respect n appease the ILs.. then why the fish has she been insisting to stay together with me? The ill-bred, incompetent, bad-everything DIL? :siao:

                    Chen,

Sending some :hugs: and positive vibes to ya.

If anyone can pull through this, you can.

Best of luck and most importantly, BE and STAY positive. Don't let the MIL wipe the smile off your face

Remember you are no longer the doormat but the gatekeeper of the peace and happiness of your family. And after all these time, I believe your MIL too know not to trifle with you and in fact appreciate that you are a tigress when it comes to protecting your family.
