My heart went twang when at the part about letting go… I remember 8 years back when DD1 was born, I looked at her, and knew that one day I have to let go… That would be tough for me for sure as that day was a start for me to be a father to a little girl. And the same feeling rides with every of my child.
If any SuperDaddies here want a helping hand for a good start, my I humbly recommend this simple and yet effective book:
The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell.
It was for me a launch to learn how to love my children well and I reread it often. Highly recommended especially for Dads. -

Thanks for the book recommend MadScientist…must remember to check that out…meanwhile, there is another book which I am still reading "How to talk so kids will listen, & listen so kids will talk" -
