Justsay, why 2 maths? Just 1 maths right because they don’t take E maths. Maths is counted as 1 subject. Normally is 8 subjects unless triple Science or Bicult student, them is 9 subjects. I might be wrong lah, but just curious to clarfy.

Huh? Only 1 maths? Only Add Maths? I thought Add Maths must go with E Maths. :?

I think daisyt should be correct. Take both Maths but consider only 1 subject. I assumed that it's 2 subjects as they don't need to submit since it's compulsory.

I heard dd mention before, only students like triple sci, bicult and 3rd lang students are consider 9 subjs students. So maths should be one subject.

Unlike last year, there's no briefing on subjects combi for parents this year (or I missed it?).

I didn't check with the school. I checked with dd, she said she didnt know of any. There's only a talk by P sometimes in March. That's the only one I know of. Is there one on subject combi?

Hi daisyt, sall, justsay, weihan (just to name a few), I have “known” you for a while because I regularly read your posts to get updates on this school. My son will be in year 3 next year, but he seldom tell me about the going-on in school, so I have to resort to your posts for info 😄 thanks.

My son said subject combi results will be out tomorrow. I am also confused over the number of subjects that my son has to take next year – A Math/ E Math considered 1 subject or 2? CID is 1 subject? Social studies is 1 subject? Isn’t Social studies + say, geography = 1 subject? RV Lit (Chinese) is compulsory and part of HCL? Language Arts for Year 3 includes English Literature? Year 3 GPA computation is based on best 7 subjects?

After observing my son for the past 2 years in this school, I am glad we have made the right decision in choosing this school. He is doing OK in his studies, he has great friends (mischievous boys and girls who play hard and study hard), he is happy, he is not so stressed. What I especially like about this school is, it is humble and 默默耕耘to produce students with good values and moral character.

Hi pepper spice, good that our kpos and gossip are helping you 😂

Subject combi result out tomorrow? Thats fast. Last year was released near X'mas time. I would think A and E are combined as one Maths subject. Yes, CID is 1 subject, it is similar to A lvl PW. Social Studies is 1 subject, seperately from Geo. They are totally two different subjects. SS is basically
                        propaganda of Singapore lor 😄

RV lit is compulsory, not part of HCl but my dd say is badically more HCL. It is graded but not counted in GPA. Language Arts for Year 3 excludes English Literature. E lit is a subject by itself in subj combi. Year 3 GPA computation is based on LA, HCL, Maths, SS, CID, 1 best science, 1 best humanities and bicult for bicult students. It seems I am missing out something ... :?

I find that RV is extremely strict on discipline and morale.
