One thing I really admire about ds is that despite his many flaws - whiny, bossy, mischievious etc etc - is the way he handles adversity.

The thing is, I didn't really teach him that. So far, I noticed that he's able to react positively to obstacles naturally. I think a child who has high confidence in his self-worth will be able to that; unlike me who suffers from low self-esteem when I was young.

We're certainly very blessed in this aspect.

In fact, I considered this the MOST important skill in life - the ability to face adversity and move forward.
