IJJ:
Yah, ds can be very logical in his thinking sometimes. And I've no doubt that your dd2 is also very mature ..... being groomed by a well-balanced mum like you.
I am impressed! He is very smart and mature for a P1 kid. So 稳ι and logical. He absolutely knows his stuff. :salute: My dd#2 also very mature for her age. :evil:Trapwithin:
I geddit! I geddit! :boogie:Mark .. get the hint or not ... IJJ dd2 also very mature and she is just 1 yr younger than your ds ......
Trapwithin:
I totally agree with you, bro. One of my hidden fears in life is that ds has such a smooth sailing in his childhood that he doesn't know how to handle adversity. Then when the first crisis appears - it will appear sooner or later rite - he can't deal with it.These are previous skills that money cannot buy ... you are truly blessed.
In fact, I considered this the MOST important skill in life - the ability to face adversity and move forward.
That's why I consider sports as so important, especially team sports. Team sport mimics life, teaching each child how to cooperate in a team, how to win, how to lose, how not to fear losing, and how to make friends (with opponents) even after losing.Jennifer:
IJJ has 3 lovely dds. Mark will be spoilt for choice :siam:

Thanks dyh. By nature, I'm a weak person mentally. I spent much effort in my adulthood trying to rectify this flaw of mine. Glad ds doesn't seem to have the same problem.he is impressive!
BraisedPorkBelly:
Not yet.Can any P1 parents let me know if they have received the tickets for the CDF event this Thursday?
BraisedPorkBelly:
I haven't even receive the booklist yet.And fyi, I have received the booklist for 2012 but no letter regarding the class. Can I assume it will be Respect + same class number?
BraisedPorkBelly:
I just received the Assessment Portfolio today. According to ds, report file to be returned to us tomorrow. Also I am not sure if we are supposed to receive any formal results whatsoever besides the Assessment Portfolio.

E3:
Gifted? Hahaha. Luckily I'm not wearing dentures, otherwise I may just choked on it while laughing. DS is definitely not gifted lah, but still, I'm very pleased that he exhibits mental strength at a young age. I know that more than degrees and certs, this attribute is critical to doing well in future.
He is gifted.
Start thinking about it. Don't be like us. After one gruelling week, the application form is still sitting at home.
DS occasionally reads my posts. He was very pleased to read the recent accolades. He asked me to share it here that he got this IDEAL award thingy. What is this IDEAL award about?
I asked him whether sharing here will be considered as boasting? His exact reply was, \"It's ok to share. I'm proud to get the IDEAL award, but it's a good kind of proud.\" So as instructed ......

:congrats: to your DS on your IDEAL award. DD also got it last year and the previous year, but unfortunately, this LF mummy here doesn't know what award this is about, except that it's a good thing to get this award.
Mark, you are being so humble. Admit it lah, you've got a gifted child. :rahrah: :rahrah:
Next year, get ready to go on stage to receive prize with your DS and then the following year, get ready to leave the school for greener pastures. -
Finally the Pri 3s will be getting their report books tomorrow, with their classes made known. :rahrah: :rahrah:

My son also was recommended to drop HCL. After consulting his tutor and assessing his level of interest, we decided to follow the school recommendation.
I was told by another mum that her child's FT called her to discourage her decision to discontinue HCL in P5. Apparently, some other classmates whose results hovered ard 60+ opt to continue HCL even though the sch recommended NC. -
Did sb from this thread recognise me at Bt Timah Plaza this afternoon?
I was informed by my boyβs tuition mateβs mum that this person came up to her and asked if I am "Jennifer".
I very paiseh leh. This mum of the tuition mate kept saying I must be very popular/active in ksp forum. -
markfch:
Well done. Pin up the badges somewhere. Good encouragement and reminders for the kid. My dd's ones will serve as momentos now.
