Newton Kindergarten

Yes I spoke to the teachers, this has always been the set up. I’m rather disturbed by what I saw. Kids being kids, surely will b distracted.

My son (nursery) is coping fine with the set-up. Actually, the few times I’ve been in their classroom, I din’t notice the sounds from the other half of the class. The shelves etc. help to block the sound. I don’t find the classrooms dark, actually. My living room is probably darker!
Don’t worry about the noises from the other half. I think there will be enough noise from your child’s half of the class to drown out the other sounds! In fact, they are likely to be more distracted by a classmate whispering next to them, than sounds made by 10 kids next door.
And, there won’t be 50 kids in one room for the nursery classes. My sons class has only 12 kids. -
Hi mummy3stream

Hi mummies,
Those whose kids are in newton this year; are both the teachers changed for the next year or is one of the teachers going up with your kids next year? Thanks -
Hi Moom
no, the kids will have different teachers.
Hi IdoPilates
Yea, this is also my concern. They use shelves to block the noise. It can be quite noisy.
Hi mummies,
Understand that we can choose quite a number of enrichments coming to K1 n K2. Any comments on JL’s creative thinking skills, fast track, speech and drama by Helen, and Dscience? Seriously dun knw which to choose! -
May I know what is the school fees for pre-nursery?

Octbride,
I wonder if it is noisy, how the kids focus on their own lessons n activity. -

Hi! My son has been using that so call \"shared classroom\" for 2 years since he moved up to 2nd floor from N1. Not to worry too much. I do not see this as a major concern since my boy has been learning pretty well. He also did not complain of the noise..

Hi, for my son's case, from N1 to N2 > both teachers changed (principal also changed.Hi mummies,
Those whose kids are in newton this year; are both the teachers changed for the next year or is one of the teachers going up with your kids next year? Thanks
) From N2 to K1 > same Chinese teacher, different English teacher. From K1 to next yr K2, going to be the same English teacher but different Chinese teacher. Anyway, I think he is going to be in good hands next year.
