Congratulations! So yours among the Top 12 names on the Slide. ;D Fantastic.
My DS got 26X, 4 A Stars, with Merit in Higher Chinese.. Not bad for a child with no tuition, except for English, which started only in P6! -
Vidhyalog, pls read ur pM

When I compared the 2 schools, I thought perhaps HCI may be stronger at the college level, having had a longer track record at preparing students for their A levels. DS scored 257 but he opted for HCI (with WL) and gave up DHS CO at the DSA stage.
Good point, did your DS HCI WL materialize into CO?ngbrdad:

He score 258, posted to DHS...
You think it is worth appealing to HCI as well? -
chatterbox321:
There is no lousy class!! If same as last year, lowest scorer is 260 my dear. Not far from your score. You will not be placed in GEP class that's all. No sports class in RGS.:congrats: to all students that have done well in your PSLE!!
Umm may I know if I go to RGS with a t-score of 265 excluding HMT, will I be in a lousy class? -
smartypants:
Which is your dream school? ACSI Express is good choice cos you can transfer to IB at end year 2 if you can score v well. Victoria O level route COP may go up from past year. Other school- how about Bukit Panjang Govt High.
jtoh, snow crystal, edureach ... please help mesmartypants:
Hi, I'm a P6 boy and my tscore is 246  . These are my school choices.
1. ACSI
2. Victoria 'O' level
3. Anderson
4. SJI
5. ???
6. ???
Please offer me guidance on my choices and also help me fill up other two choices. BTW, SAP schools are not a choice for me as my MT is not chinese(but hindi).
Thanks for your help and congratulations to all those who have done beyond expectation for thier PSLE.

LangMum:
Yes. We were also told earlier at the parents symposium that those at the top half of their wait list will be guaranteed a place.
Good point, did your DS HCI WL materialize into CO? -
ngbrdad:
Yes which explains past year appeal COP higher than S1 COP for transfer cases. However we are not sure if GEPpers are given different treatment ie any priority.Heard from DS that his GE friends with WL from RI and HCI which didn't materialise and do not make the COP all plan to appeal.
Guess it will be the same for most GE students in the same boat.
So looks like there will be an appeal frenzy.......... -
LangMum:
They told me I just need to go down and fill up a 'green' appeal form. And submit his PSLE results.
Congrats.ngbrdad:

Seriously I don't see much difference between HCI and DHS, unless you stay in Bukit TImah area or you prefer an all boys schools.
Now it all depends on how strict are they going to adhere to their no lateral transfer ruling.
But just like what you mention don't see much diff. And distanct wise, both
is just as far!!!. We are in the north, the bishan mountain is the nearest.
Do you intend to appeal?
Hi LangMum, sorry to interupt.. I feel that you should go ahead and appeal for RI, as your DS (258) stands a very high chance (RI's COP was 259 last year). If RI is your DS' dream school, it is worth a try, especially that you stay in the north (me too).
I heard that one or two of my DS' classmates (with t-scores lower than 258) have already gone down to RI to submit their appeals yesterday afternoon (did your DS hear of that?). Also heard that all they had to do was to fill up a form and pay $50. So, i feel that it is really worth a try. What do you think, Lang Mum? -

Actually, do you know how many of DS classmates got > 260? So, far seems like most got > 260.
Yes, will appeal for RI, but wonder if we should appeal for HCI as well, since HCI last year’s COP is 257.
