Menstrual cramps in Primary school girl

Hi. just normal ointment like \"axe oil\" ? Thanks
Think it should work. I apply ru yi yu for myself though. Last time when I was younger (around upper primary but can't remember wat age) n had really bad cramps, my mom gave me 1 panadol n it got better but not sure if it will have other side effects. -
Pain killers like panadol will work initially. But it is better to teach the girl to learn how to manage the pain than to rely on pain killers totally. Since the commencement of my menses, I never failed to get cramps every month until I gave birth. I started with panadols and it can go up to 8 panadols per day…it was 2 tablets per time X 4 times a day. Then panadols lost its effect and the doctor gave me stronger pain killers. I have tried ponstan, synflex…until I developed allergies to the pain killers years later. I ever had a few real bad cramps that attacked me suddenly. My face turned pain immediately, I went into cold sweats and started to tremble. The pain killers would not work under those circumstances. Someone has to bring me to the clinic for an injection to relieve the pain.
Now, I could only take panadols as pain killer and it is not very effective. Imagine I went through two c-sects with this low dose pain killers. So I am doing pre-menses education to my dd and hope she could get prepared to learn to manage the cramps.
The good side of having such cramps, in accordance to my gynae after years of suffering, is that women with menstrual cramps are very fertile.

Try giving your gal evening primrose. It is suppose to be good for cramps. Can also be treated as health supplements. So it's like 2 in one.
Hi peapot. Have you let your girl try the evening primrose? I had never try this before, Suitable for adult and children too ? -
If her menstrual cramps are very bad, should consult a gynae because later on it may lead to endometriosis, a condition caused by the backflow of menstrual blood. About 10% of women got the disease.

shurley197323, I haven’t try on my gal because she only in P3. But I will let her try end of P6. I plan to start her early before her first mens. I had mine when I was in Sec 1. So I figure it could be the same for her.
I tried primrose on myself before because I have very serious mens cramps. I will faint or break out in cold sweat because of the pain. I didn’t want to rely on panadols so I switched to Primrose. It did improve. Now that I m married and given birth, I do not have anymore cramps. So I no longer use primrose.
Go to a reputable pharmacy and check with them on various brands. You should be able to find one suitable. -
Btw, for my pain it only happen on the very first day. 2nd day onwards no more pain. What about you mummies?
-
Hi,peapot. During my young days, I will had cramps for 1st & 2nd days then it stopped after I gave birth, but this year, the cramps came back again.
-
Then you can try evening primrose too. Luckily my cramps never come back. If yr cramp comes back suddenly, then you should see a doctor.

Thanks ,peapot
