Hi all, I am new to this forum and would be grateful if parents can share about the CCAs in HCI, what are the core CCAs or popular CCAs or least popular CCA. TIA
During the first few weeks, the stud will be going round for trial, they can find out more where their interest. AFter that they will be required to put down his choices... -

How many CCAs are they require to take - 1 core only or with another non-core CCAs? Are there any CCAs that will require qualification / test / audition before they are accepted? Where can these info be found in the website? Thanks in advance for any guidance provided.sama:

Can I also ask does anyone know about Weiqi as a CCA in HCI? Is HCI very strong in weiqi and do they always win competition? Thanks!

mum42, i share e same thought as u n has not bought any sec 3 textbks for my DS too. We oso bought e 3 O lvl sci text in sec 1 n so far only touched a bit of physics n chem. Hopefully, they will use them in e next 2 yrs. DS seniors told him the teachers hardly use e text except for e maths text. For e english, not sure if its e strand 1 or 2. Guess we will oso wait for sch reopen, c wat is really necessary.Hi sunflower mum, my DS do not have text bk for sec 1&2 sci. Their notes were either fr the teacher or fr the website d teacher posted. This yr I refused to buy any text books for his sec 3 as every yr i gave away totally brand new text bk for math n Chinese :frustrated: ,DS n i have learn d trick only to buy d text bk when d teachers ask for it ,like lit, history . All his senior are doing it this way, cause teachers do not used text but give a lot of worksheets .
FYI. I bought the chem,physic n bio text for o level during the sec 1 bk list , DS has not even use them . -

Hi pinky88 (proteX)DS said strand 1 when in sec 2 is for I spark in sec 3 is for CSE n I spark but do not know about SP SMDP, HP, BCS. Correct me if I am wrong . And the bk list given I think only cover the normal IP bks did not list anything about SP bks. Do not know I spark or CSE has different bk list. Ya same here will wait till sch reopen before buying any tx just in case n the txs next yr are quite expensive for A math n lit .

You may want to monitor him closely in term of his time management. According to my DS in year 2, 3 of his classmates via DSA sport were transfer to 'O' level class in year 3. God Bless! -

Yes yes....my DS is gg SMTP but no CSE for him. How abt ur DS? Ya boy...must get them back to e reality...sch reopening in 3 wks time...gd time flies...
